20 weeks and such

Here's a look at our past weekend....

We're half way there:) Baby is finally starting to move around a little more, I was getting nervous. I actually went an entire day without feeling the baby and was planning a date a with a Mountain Dew the next morning. But I finally felt one little kick that night and a couple the next morning.

20 wks

Alyssa is gearing up for baby. She doesn't play with dolls much, but she does love her animals.

We went to a banquet for cub scouts this weekend. Jacob earned his Wolf badge. We(or I) completly went out the door without his "yellow scarf thingie", I can't remember what it's called. But in my defense we did come straight from soccer that morning and he had to change clothes in the car.

It was alot to ask Alyssa to sit through so I took her out to the lobby to hang out. Apparently it was too much for Alex to sit still for also. Shortly after I took Alyssa out, Thatcher brought this little stinker to me!

We made a snowman with our last little bit of snow. It's all gone now.

Baby Bean

We had our 20 week anatomy scan/ultrasound yesterday. I could sit and watch that screen for hours, it's amazing. Everything looked perfect and baby is measuring right at 19 weeks 3 days, which is exactly how far along I am.

Photobucket

I know what we're having..........

a monkey baby! Seriously, look at that arm!!

Photobucket

Our baby has ears!! Sorry, but I thought that was just so exciting:)

We are not finding out this baby's gender. I've been thinking and feeling like it's a boy though. I was so scared Thatcher or I would accidentally see something. Thatcher thought he saw girl and I really thought I saw boy about 5 seconds after she turned the screen on, BUT the ultrasound tech told us baby had his legs closed the whole time and she didn't even see.

Another sweet profile, look at that little nose...

Things we love right now

Books on cd. Both the boys love these. Their bed times are at 8pm but they can read books if they like and then it's "lights out" at 9pm. They both have several of these and listen to them almost every night.

Photobucket

Making play dough. We sign up to make play dough for pre-school a couple of times a year and the kids always love to help.

Photobucket

Losing our first tooth and grilling out in the snow.
Alex lost his first tooth a couple of weeks ago. Jacob, heavily supervised, grilled out hot dogs as an elective for cub scouts.

Photobucket

Finally finishing a scrapbook page I started several months ago.

Photobucket

Super sweet new boppy for baby bean.

Snow Day

We had a snow day yesterday because of the "monstrous storm that's crippled the nation". I've gotten such a kick out of how much the media has sensationalized this storm. Yes, it snowed....yes, the wind blew......did schools and businesses close for a day or two, yes.....but the world is not ending. We didn't get much at all compared to most. Our forecast was for 10-16 inches, but they changed it to 5-7 inches with a blizzard warning. And that is what we got. We did something we probably shouldn't have done Tuesday night. Right in the middle of it all, we put our boots on, strapped the kids in Thatcher's 4 wheel drive, snuggled them in with a big blanket, and went for a joy ride in a blizzard.

Yes, that's the street in front of us

Thatcher assured me we couldn't get stuck. He pulls into the school parking lot and guess what happens......we get stuck! So I took pictures...

Eventually we got ourselves un-stuck.

So what do you do on a snow day when you're out of school and it's too cold to play outside? You don't get dressed or brush your hair.
You have a slumber party and watch a movie in the middle of the day, complete with popcorn, candy bars, and juice.

Photobucket

You get in trouble for calling your sister stupid(again) and have to write sentences.

Photobucket

Photobucket

You play with cardboard boxes for hours!

First you decorate them...

Alex didn't want his picture taken, so I had to be sneaky.

He explained what every single button did...

By the end of the day Jacob had been in a hot tub, a race car, a train, a rocket ship, and a fighter jet he was parachuting out of.

You have fun!
And if you're me, you take a bunch of pictures!
